Felt Mini Cupcakes?

This morning I made a felt cupcake from one of Maddie's craft books. This was very easy to make. However, I think it looks like a flower instead of a cupcake.

To make this you will need felt, stuffing and cross stitch floss.
Next make a circle and icing pattern.

I also made little circles for cherries.

You will need two circles the same size. First decorate the top circle by stitching sprinkles (or a design) on top.

Next, stictch around the outside. Leave a gap for a very small amount of stuffing.

After the stuffing, finish stitching around the circle and pull the thread on both ends.

Knot your thread and flip the sides down.

I added a magnet. You could make a pin cushion, broach or attach it to clothing.

Have a great day!

Finally Doing Something...

Hey Gang! I'm still trying to get off the lazy train. I've finally started some projects. Today I made a basket liner for the first time. I was very happy with how it turned out. This was an easy/quick project. I'll post the tutorial soon.

Do you like my wire baskets?
They are from an old deep freeze.

Have a restful night.

Few New Things

Hello All. Hope you've had a good week. Mine has been quite busy.
I've been trying to get some tasks completed around the house, especially outside. The rain has been constant. I did transplant some tiger lillies infront of the side porch.

(Then I looked-up and saw my next project.)

Maddie has also been busy.

Anyway...

I have gotten a couple of new (but old) things recently. I thought I'd share them with you. As always Mother found them for me.

Have a great week!

Love My Pics

My very favorite part of my home is the front stairway.
I love walking up and seeing all the photos of my children.

(Those pics look a little crooked)

Please link-up below your favorite picture arrangements.

If you do not have a picture arrangement to share, feel free to share your personal collection.

Have a good night.

Garden Fever

As many of you know last year was my first garden. I've been day dreaming about year two, so have the girls.

We've been surveying the property carefully. I'm slightly worried because last year the garden was in a flood zone (according to my neighbor). We were very lucky because there were no floods, however this spring there were a few suprises.

(This is the exact same area the girls are standing in the pic above.)

I want to triple the size this year. I just can't wait!!!! My brain is constantly spinning with ideas.

Maybe if we click our boots three times...

And say...

There's no place like my garden!

We will be there.

WAKE UP!

Hey Everyone! I'm back! Hope all of you are well. I owe you my deepest apologies for my long absence. I especially owe Terry Scott an apology, since I haven't sent her camera yet! Terry I am sending an extra something special with your prize, so please forgive me. I've been in a bit of a blogging rut. I even thought about closing shop. Then my mother reminded me how much I enjoyed blogging, and how it decreased my stress. And that is what I need right now.

So here we go...

I must love you all. I'm sitting in a rough area of the city at a McDonald's (and I hate McDonald's), so I can get free WiFi (remember I no longer have Internet). I may get mugged on the way out for my laptop. LOL.

Anyway...

Easter is around the corner. Mom and the girls modge podged plastic eggs with wrapping and tissue paper.

The cake pedestal we found at an auction in February for $7.50 (along with a cheese platter). I painted and distressed it.

Poppy is feeling better. I'm trying to convince him to let me take a pic of him with his walker for you (LOL). Thanks for all the prayers.

Have a good night!

One last thing...
Here is some Harry Belafonte to get you going.
